I've been getting the "Installation
Error" message when I build the run a sample Project (using the default code) Napa app since the last week. My site URL is https://anilo365.sharepoint.com/
I've been trying to create an app since the last few days but have been unsuccessful. I've also encountered the other errors that some
folks have reported on this forum like "TF246066: Team Foundation Server is offline." and "Unknown
User: Unable to determine your identity. Please try again by launching the App installed on your site."
I see in the Service Health dashboard that there have been technical issues with "SharePoint Features" from Jan 30th to Feb 1st - https://portal.microsoftonline.com/ServiceStatus/ServiceStatus.aspx
Does the Napa app fall under "SharePoint Features"? If so, the dashboard shows everything is ok with "SharePoint Features" but I'm not yet able to run the app. Even running the app with the template code throws the same "Installation Error" message.
I wish the terse "Installation Error" message was more elaborate and if there was a problem with the Napa app rather than my code, it would be better if the Napa app did not open at all rather than take me till the final step and then fail.
I'm also unable to create a Private Site Collection. I can fill the form to create a new site collection but the process of creation doesn't end. I have been seeing the names of site collections I've created with a progress throbber next to it for the last few days and for these new unfinished site collections the Version column shows N/A.
A colleague of mine who subscribed to a Office 365 Preview Developer account after I did, is able to build & run apps using Napa. Is the "Installation Error" linked to the date of opening an account or region I opened it from or the server on which resources were provisioned for me?
I feel the Napa app is a gem of an idea. I recently got started with Napa and I hope I can get my first app to run soon.
