I am trying to test an upgrade to a SharePoint Hosted app that I have developed. I change the app version in the app manifest and upload the published *.app file to the corp catalog.
After detecting that there is update available; I go ahead and upgrade to the latest app.
The problem I have after this update is that App Parts for the app are hidden on pages that they were added to. I'm also unable to remove the hidden attribute from the App Part rendering the App part useless.
Is this by design? Or am I missing something here? It would be rather annoying if we were to update an App and then realise that all previous app parts reliant on that App were hidden/removed. This defeats the purpose of the upgrade procedure and we might as
well retract the App and re install.
