High trust apps 401 Unauthorized - An exception occurred when trying to issue security token

Hi,

I have created some provider hosted high trust apps which I had working fine on my development servers which were running Sharepoint 2013 Preview. I am now trying to deploy the apps a production server running the release version of Sharepoint 2013 but I am receiving a 401 Unauthorized error on all the apps.

I have setup the certificate etc and ran through all the steps required for a high trust app. If I look in the ULS logs and the event viewer then this is the error I get:

An exception occurred when trying to issue security token: 3001002;reason=The incoming identity is not mapped to any user profile account in SharePoint. Possible cause is that no user profiles are created in user profile database. Contact your administrator..

I have successfully ran the User Profile Synchronisation so all the user profiles exist and I have checked in Central Administration and I can see that the user profile I am trying to run the apps as exists (I can even login to MySite as the user and see my profile).

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this or what I could do to troubleshoot the issue? This is really urgent that I get this resolved.

Regards
Tony
