Office App - Send data from Microsoft excel to a SharePoint List

I am creating an app for office 2013 (For Excel) and it is a task pane app.

I want to send data into SharePoint list, on a button click, from excel.

I have created a list "User Information" which has two columns "First Name" and "Last Name".

After entering values in excel cells and upon clicking a button I want those two values to go to that SP list.

I want to know is it possible or not.

Is it only possible using javascript?

If yes then provide me some links.

Please guide me through this.
