C# return Row count of a Sharepoint list with a date greater than today minus four days

I have a sharePoint list called "Archives" with a column called ArchiveDate type Date.

Any simple C# example function that returns the count of rows that qualify as having ArchiveDate > Today-4

Will I have to use CAML?
