Chaging master page throws 401 unauthorized error in mysite - Sharepoint 2013

Hello Everyone ,

I have changed the master page of the "mysite" and personal site on creation using the following links.

The master page is replaced with my custom master page and all the links seem to be working fine when I access the site through my username . I have the farm admin and site collection admin rights.

But when I try to access the "About Me" using a test username ( the test user exists in our AD)who has no rights to the site , it keeps giving me the following error listed above .

The 401 unauthorized error pops up when ever the _layouts/start.aspx file has to be accessed.

If the files are accessed directly like "/Person.aspx" or "/default.aspx" it seems to be working fine for the test user.

Any help would be appreciated.
