Automate External User Invitations

Hi,

We would like to automate external user invitations feature. 

We have a list called "Partners" which gets items populated by an external system via web services. When a new item is created in the list, we would like to automatically invite the new partner using external user invitations (with the email id present in the list item). Is it possible to automate this?

Also, is the external user invitations feature exposed via Javascript Object Model? Is it possible to send an invite by using JSOM with an email id and a custom message?
