Web Part Miscellaneous and Ajax Properties not visible

Hello

I have added the Task View to a page and now would like to add a custom java script to show the  status of each task with a red, yellow or green light.  When I go to add the link the js script to the web part properties box, the miscellaneous and ajax options are not available. Has anyone seen this before? If so, where you able to fix it? I have full admin privs on SharePoint Server 2013.
