I am using SharePoint 2013 Online and am looking to update the default column values of multiple document libraries within a site. These document libraries have a few fields that are the same. I was thinking of using a "Project Information" page where users could select the values they want (this "page" would really be a view of list with the common fields). Upon hitting the save button it would trigger either a Workflow or Event Receiver.
My question is, should I update the column values, or use a Workflow or Event Receiver to update all the content that is uploaded/created? Has anyone been able to update the Default Column values of a library from a workflow? I am following natural escalation procedures, so if it can be done via SPD 2013, great! If not, I am can bust out Visual Studio.
