Dears,
We have Bank requirement to Create a Document library in the SharePoint 2013 and it’s documents must be saved in a Physical Area which is Shared Folder either SAN storage or something else , in order to Reduce SharePoint Database Size.
also the Requirement is to Keep the Same file name and Extension in the physical folder as well , so anyone can open the document in the SharePoint or open it in the shared folder
I have tried BLOB in SQL 2008 R2 , but seems not helpful because saving the files as binary.
Another hint may help , the bank already have these documents in Shared Folder and permission already applied on it , so what we have to do is to create a Document Library and point the source of this library to the Shared Folder in order to use the Document Library Features.
Best Regards,
Moayad Al-Saleh
