I have added a document library App inside my team site, but currently if a user upload an office document (.docx,.pptx,etc), the file will not be opened when a user click on it and he will receive the following error :-
The webpage cannot be displayed
and the generated URL will look as follow:-
mspowerpoint:ofv|u|http://sharepointdev:45097/discussionforum/intranet/Shared%20Documents/TDM%20Group%20SD%20PO%20Project%20Process%20v2%2029Nov12.pptx
While if I uploaded a PDF file, it will open inside the web browser correctly. So how I can either:-
1. allow users to view the office document insdie the browser.
2. or at least to be prompted with a download dialog to download the office document when clicking on it, instead of receiving page not found error ?
