I am trying to bypass the EDIT popup that comes up in sharpeoint after uploading (files-->upload document) a document. I can't have this come up because this is used as a drop type library (which means they are granted read and add perms) and a workflow changes permissions right away.
I went here here and it looked like a great solution as I've had failed attempts trying to complete this. However, an issue came up with users who do not have edit access in the document library. If they do not have edit access, they will be get an access denied screen asking them to request access. If they have edit access, the follow up editform dialog that allows you to edit title and name, does NOT come up, as expected. It works like that but all I can gather is that sharepoint still checks to see if you have access to this form even if you have code to bypass it from displaying after uploading hence my issue with the popup for people who do not have edit access. Any suggestions? Many solutions out there but none that fit the bill. I've tried.
