New to SharePoint online

Hi,

I have a strong Office VBA/C# development background with a very little experience of HTML, XSL development.

At my work-place we have a SharePoint online 2013 team site. I would like to do add new pages to the existing site as part of a new project.

I've a XML and XSL to transform it to a HTML. It works fine. However I'd like this HTML to be part of the site. I searched a lot and even spoke to MS help-desk and the only way around seems to be using an .aspx page.

Could you please help me with below questions-

1. Do I have to learn ASP .Net to be able to create custom pages (similar to above) for my site? I'm familiar with using web-parts etc.

2. What minimum level of ASP .net knowledge I need for basic page customization like the above?

3. How and where do I start?

Thanks.

Regards,

Pranav
