Alert functionality in Community Site in Sharepoint 2013

Hi,

How can we achieve the notification/Alert functionality automatically in Community Site in SharePoint 2013, when an user posts a question or an user reply to a post.

For example, in social msdn site when an user posts a question or reply to a question, the Alert Me checkbox in automatically checked. Can we achieve similar kind of functionality?
