Help with Quick Launch Snippet needed

Hello,

I'm working on customizing the quick launch menu on a publishing site to show more levels than 3. Ie I have a site with the following structure.

Site 1

-Site 1.1

--Site 1.1.1

---Site 1.1.1.1

Site 2

-Site 2.1

Site 3

I've noticed that Sharepoint quick launch by default only displays 3 levels (that would be to Site 1.1.1 in above example) Once I've clicked on "Site 1.1.1" there is no Site 1.1.1.1 beneath it and I have to find it in site contents somewhere instead which is obviously not that user friendly.

In the Snippet I'm able to alter the behavior however I havent been able to see what I need to change to get my desired setting. I've tried setting the "StaticDisplayLevels"to 5 instead of 2 but that does not solve the problem. It seems that the entire structure is displayed on 1 level if I change this?.

What I need:

The behavior I want is to only show the next level. For example site 1.1.1 should be shown under site 1.1. But site 1.1.1.1 should not be.

By default all sites should be hided except the level I'm at. Eg. the toplevel only displays Site 1, Site 2, Site 3. When I click on site 1 and sees site 1.1, site 1.2, site 1.3 etc. then Site 2.1 should not be displayed.

As you can see from my description I'm not that much into developing so sorry for my description of the problem in advance - In time I'll hopefully be able to use the right terms :-)

Thanks
