_spGetQueryParam in SharePoint 2013

Hello,

as stated here, in SharePoint 2010 there was a javascript function to query for Url parameters: _spGetQueryParam.

I cannot find this function in SharePoint 2013. It should reside in init.js, but it isn't. Is there an equivalent function in SP2013 that has a different name?
